How do I beat the "Impossible" difficulty?

The community consensus for beating the hardest difficulty is using the "Turtle Strategy." Do not waste your gold constantly sending weak troops to die. Instead, build the maximum number of turrets on your base and let the enemy march toward you. Your turrets will kill them, earning you XP and gold safely. Only use your special attack when the enemy troops start damaging your base. Wait until you evolve into the Future Age to finally unleash an offensive push.

Why is the enemy base evolving faster than me?

On harder difficulties (Hard and Impossible), the AI opponent receives a passive multiplier to their XP and gold generation. They will almost always reach the Renaissance and Modern ages before you do. Do not panic! Rely on your special attacks to clear their advanced troops until you can afford to evolve and catch up.

Is the "Super Soldier" in the Future Age worth the massive cost?

Absolutely. The Super Soldier costs a staggering 150,000 gold, but it is effectively the win condition of the game. It boasts incredible health and deals massive area-of-effect damage. If you manage to spawn just one or two Super Soldiers, they will effortlessly carve through the enemy's defenses and destroy their base in seconds.

Can I skip an age if I save up enough XP?

No, you must progress through the ages sequentially. Even if you hoard a massive amount of XP by turtling in the Stone Age, clicking the evolve button will only take you to the Castle Age. However, if you have enough saved up, you can immediately click it again to double-evolve straight into the Renaissance Age!
