1. Follow the Colors: The game uses a brilliant, simple visual system. Anything with a glowing Green border is your food eat it to gain experience! Anything with a glowing Red border is a predator fly away immediately, or they will eat you! Items with a Yellow border can be attacked to yield food.
2. Stay Hydrated: Keep an eye on your blue water meter. As a flying creature, you will eventually get thirsty. You must carefully dive into pools of water to take a drink, but be quick so you don't run out of oxygen or get eaten by a fish!
3. Evolve to Survive: Every time you fill your experience bar, you instantly evolve into a new animal. You will progress through 45 unique evolutionary stages, from butterflies and birds to bats, pterodactyls, and mythical beasts.
4. Use the Environment: Use clouds to hide from high-flying predators, or dive into bushes on the ground. When you are inside a hiding spot, bigger animals cannot see or attack you!

What do the green and red glowing borders mean in EvoWorld.io?

This is the most important rule in the game! A green border means the object or animal is lower on the food chain, and you can eat it to gain XP. A red border means that player is a higher evolution than you and can eat you. Always fly toward green and run away from red!

How do I evolve into the Grim Reaper?

The Grim Reaper is the ultimate, final evolution in the game. To reach it, you must survive long enough to evolve through every single stage of the game, ending with the Demonic Bat. Once you become the Grim Reaper, you sit at the very top of the food chain and can hunt almost any other player on the map.

Why did the game change its name from FlyOrDie.io?

As the developer (PixelVoice) continued to update the game, they added massive new biomes (like the underground and space) and ground-based evolutions that didn't just "fly." The name was officially changed to EvoWorld.io to better represent the massive, evolution-based ecosystem the game had become.

How do I use my animal's special ability?

As you reach higher evolutionary stages, your animals will unlock unique abilities—like a bird dropping an egg, a bat using sonar, or an eagle diving at high speeds. You can activate these life-saving skills by clicking the Left Mouse Button or pressing the Spacebar. Remember that abilities have a cooldown timer!

Can I hide from bigger players?

Yes! If a massive predator is chasing you, look for clouds in the sky or bushes on the ground. If you fly into them, you become invisible to bigger predators, allowing you to safely wait until they fly away.
